Planning a ride accross the state.Im am planning to take highway 60 from clearwater beach straight accross to vero.Has anyone done it and is this a safe route??Thanks for any help

I think the most difficult and dangerous areas will be riding through
Tampa near the airport and west of downtown, and then in the Brandon
area. You may want to take alternative routes around those areas.
East of Brandon and through the central part of the state SR 60 is ok,
but it does have high speed traffic on it. I am not familer with the
road conditions east of the Turnpike.
