The 29th Annual SPBC Spring Classic offers four rides through the rural areas of Manatee County. It's NOT a race. But riders will often break into groups at various speeds to push themselves and compete informally on time. Others simply enjoy the surroundings and the company. The main idea is to have fun.
Rides are 20, 36, 60 and 100 miles. We'll plenty of rest stops with food and drinks and port-a-potties and support vehicles will be dispatched to anyone needing assistance during the ride. The Spring Classic is open to both SPBC members and non-members alike.
Start times are as follows:
100 miles: 7:00 AM
60 miles: 8:30 AM
36 miles: 9:30 AM
20 miles: 10:00 AM
Lunch will be served starting about noon.
This year we've moved the event up a few weeks in hopes of cooler weather and that more of our snow bird friends can join us.
We'll leave from the Manatee River Fairgrounds where a light breakfast and coffee will be available. After the rides, enjoy lunch catered by Pipo's the Original Cuban Cafe, along with two beers compliments of Pinellas Ale Works, and music.
